"We Won the League at The Sh!thole....!"

Remember this?!?!? Pictures courtesy of Mr. ClockEndGooner. Thanks mate!

I have been told there are more to come...!!!

UP THE GUNNERS!!!!!

Where's all the scum gone? HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

1-1, Fair Enough

1 all. A fair result overall I feel. To be honest, the Scum could and should have killed off the game in the first half. Luckily they don't have that much quality! ;o)

Why Le Boss decided to drop Bobby and start Flamini in the centre and put young Cesc out wide is a mystery to me. We all know about the penalty fiasco, but Pires scoring at the lane is traditional! From the beginning of the second half, when he came on and Cesc was moved inside we looked a LOT better. I thought RVP was decent aswell.

As I said, overall I think it was a fair result.

What d'you think?

Le Boss: "Traditionally We Are A Strong Away Team"

Le Boss is not too worried about our current away form in the league. Speaking on Arsenal.com earlier he had this to say...

“Traditionally we are a strong away team. What happened to us was more of a coincidence because we had three international breaks at the start of the season and three times our players came back destroyed and injured."

“Also we had three away games. We would have beaten West Br*m if we had played them at home. But every time we were away against tough sides — Ch*lsea, West Br*m and Middlesbr*ugh. We were unlucky to lose all three games and we were always without major players.”

This is probably gonna be my last post before judgement day tomorrow...enjoy the game Gooners.

COME ON YOU REDS!!!!!!

He's Definitely Out

Story from skysports.com...

Thierry Henry has been ruled out of Saturday's North London derby with T*ttenham.

The French forward made a sparkling return to action from a groin injury with a brace of goals against Sparta Prague earlier in the month and won the penalty which secured victory over M*nchester City at the weekend.

It would appear, though, that the Arsenal skipper aggravated his groin complaint against City as he has been ruled out of the trip to White H*rt Lane to face Sp*rs.

Arsenal travel across North London on Saturday lagging behind Sp*rs in the table and Gunners chief Arsene Wenger will have to plot the downfall of Martin J*l's outfit without his talisman.

Titi a Doubt For Spuds Clash

It looks as though TH14 is gonna miss tomorrow's grudge match against the Scum. As we all know he has only just come back from a lengthy injury, but it appears he has suffered a relapse...

Le Boss said: "There is a bit of uncertainty about Thierry. We pushed him in a little early and need to get him completely back to where he can perform. At the moment he is 30 per cent to play and 70 per cent not to play."

On a more positive note, Freddie and JAR are back in the frame after overcoming a hamstring injury and bruised ribs respectively.

Edelman: Henry Will Stay

Arsenal MD Keith Edelman has pooh-poohed claims that Titi is about to quit at the end of the season...

Edelman said: "Yes I think Thierry will be here next season and he'll be running out at the new stadium, leading the team onto the field.

"All we're saying is we would like Thierry to stay and we are working very hard to achieve our objectives.

"That is all I can say at the moment, the players are very much with us in the development and are very impressed with the stadium."

He Feels It Is Time To Move On

Here we go...I guess this is gonna be the main thing now until he either goes or signs a new contract...

Can't be bothered typing anything up about it so I 'borrowed' the story from www.clubcall.com...

Thierry Henry has reportedly told friends he is to quit Arsenal unless they challenge for the Champions League, according to press reports.

Henry is refusing to discuss a new contract at the club until the summer when his present deal will have just a year to run. This has led to constant speculation about his future and will continue to do so.

The latest report in The Daily Express says he has told friends that if he had to make the decision right now he'd be leaving Highbury.

The report says a good run in the Champions League may persuade him to stay but it quotes a source as saying. "Henry has told some of his friends there is no chance he would stay if he had to make a decision right now. He feels it is time to move on."

The Gunners record goal scorer revealed earlier this week that racism in Spain would not prevent him moving there if he wanted to, Barcelona have long been linked with the striker.

Sol Man Back For Spuds Clash

Big Sol is fit once more - and just in time! He should start this Saturday against the scum...

"I think he is back now and I'm pleased with that," said Le Boss. "He had a good performance physically and looked quite strong for the ninety minutes."

NICE!

Le Boss: "We Have Some Talented Boys Out There..."

The guy I sit next to at work can't be happy. Why? I hear you ask. The answer is he is a S*nderland fan and he travelled from North West London to the Stadium of Light to watch our young Guns put three goals past his team. I wouldn't be happy....it's a long old treck up to S*nderland and I'm sure after losing 3-0 it's gonna be a longer journey home!

When he returns to work tomorrow I shall do my best not to take the piss too much!

Anyway...here's what the Gaffer had to say following the victory...

"We had a good base, defensively we were strong and they could have dealt with the games in the Premiership. We have some talented boys out there and they showed it."

"I felt S*nderland worked very hard, tried to put us under pressure with a very direct game. The size of our defenders helped us because we coped very well with the long balls.

"In patches we were dangerous going forward and you could see we had the quality to create chances, even if we lost the ball or were too much in a hurry to take our chances.

"Overall I'm very happy with the performance and the spirit of the boys and the fact they could cope with a big crowd and against a team who was very committed."

Vela to Join?

Young target Carlos Vela reckons that signing for the Gunners would do his career no end of good. The 17 year old Mexican lad is highly rated and has also interested the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan and Juventus.

After training with Arsenal recently the youngster had this to say...

"If my destiny is Arsenal then that would be very good for my career. I want to show everyone just how good the level of football is in Mexico."

Vela's agent, Eduardo Hernandez, confirmed: "It has been an excellent experience for Carlos at Arsenal so far.

"His family are enchanted by London and Thierry Henry has greeted him warmly, We all went to see them play Manchester C!ty and took a tour of their new stadium.

"Arsenal would be a good club for him to join but we are going to listen to other proposals,"

Watch this space...!

AW: "It's a Very Exciting Time"

Le Boss has insisted that our current squad is just as strong as the 'Invincibles' of two seasons ago...

"I feel we have as strong a squad now as when the team went undefeated," AW said.

"But it's up to us to show it. When I see the quality I see in training, it's about how much we want to show it on the pitch.

"It's a very exciting time. We are questioned about the quality of the team we have - but that shows how strong we are."

"We have been hit hard with injuries," Le Boss continued.

"We lost our three games after the international breaks - those were very difficult away fixtures.

"And not only did we play away and lose after the breaks, but each time we lost a key player, which was a high price to pay.

"If someone I rate becomes available in the transfer market, I will look to make a move.

"But I'm not in a desperate need [to buy] and I am very confident we will come back."

To be frank, I don't know how he can sit there and say we are as strong as the season before last. This is one thing about Wenger that is starting to get on my tits a bit. He wears the 'company face' a bit too much at times and won't admit to problems that we evidently have.

Your thoughts....?

TH14: "I Will Try It Again..."

The Skipper has revealed that he WILL attempt the elaborate penalty again that went tits up against M*n City on Saturday.

"If we get a penalty against Spurs, I won't mess around, I'll smash it into the net. Titi stated.

"I will try it again but next time I will push the ball off the penalty spot for someone else. The main problem will be finding someone to do it with me - especially after Saturday."

"But I never found anyone who had the guts to do it with me. Robert Pires did - but then he missed the ball. It's nothing to do with being brave, it's about getting it right.

"I was ready, I arrived on time in the box but Robert's leg didn't work properly."

"Arsene Wenger was okay because we won the game. Otherwise he would not have been too happy.

"The only thing you can have a go at me about is that it was my plan and my decision to try it when we were only leading 1-0. You can also blame me for not taking the penalty myself.

"And yet the afternoon had started so well with Ian Wright presenting me with a silver cannon for breaking his club scoring record.

"I didn't see Ian afterwards but I'd imagine he thought I'd been very stupid. Well, look at him, he'd have elbowed people out of the way to take that penalty!"

"When it works, everyone goes mad. When it doesn't, everyone says you are mad. But I always try to please people.

"I like to please my team-mates. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad."

TH14: Give Them Time

TH14 has asked fans not to be too harsh on the youngsters at S*nderland tomorrow.

Le Boss will no doubt field a very young side as he rests the big Guns before Saturday's clash with the Spuds.

The Skipper said...

"You don't have a lot of players who arrive at 17 and are successful instantly.

"They have one or two years where they struggle as it's difficult to handle.

"When I was their age, I was in and out of the Monaco team and I found it difficult at times.

"Most people heard of me only after I was 19, but I started at 17. I would score one brilliant goal and then people would say: 'Where is he?'.

"After 19, I was more composed, more of a man and understood the game better."

"I remember when I came into the France national team with David Trezeguet and we were 19.

"If we'd all been 19 in the squad, what would we have done?

"But when you have the likes of Laurent Blanc, Didier Deschamps and Marcel Desailly to help you improve, [it is easier]."

Le Boss: "Ch*lsea Can Collapse"

After Chel$ki's 1-1 draw with Evert*n yesterday, the Gaffer has spoken out - and believes that the busy Christmas scheldule will be Chel$ki's REAL test...

"They are unreachable so far," AW told L'Equipe.

"But perhaps they will become human again. Sometimes one blip is enough."

"This year, more than ever, at Boxing Day, we will reach the 18th match, while usually we have passed the 20th."

"So everything will be settled at that time. Ch*lsea can collapse. We can be back but we can't make any mistakes again."

Ooooops!

Mornin' Gooners and Goonettes!

Not a great deal happening this morning - everyone's still going on about the Titi and Bobby show from Saturday!

What a cock-up that was! All I can say is that I'm glad we can talk about it with a smile on our faces now. If we hadn't have got all 3 points I would've been an EXTREMELY pissed off Nyssie.

Afterwards TH14 had this to say...

“I want to apologise to all the fans because it wasn’t the right thing to do. Next time I will take all the penalties."

“When Cruyff did it at Ajax everyone went ballistic. It was not a lack of respect.

“We should not have done it but it is a game and people keep forgetting it’s entertainment also. We can laugh about it now.”

I must say that I'm not relishing a trip to Shite H*rt Lane on Saturday. The Scum will be on a high after securing a point against ManUre.

One Plus though; Davids will be out.

COME ON YOU REDS!

Psycho Scared

Stuart Pe*rce has spoken out ahead of Saturday's clash against M*n City at Highbury.

He has stated that with Titi back in the lineup we are a different animal altogether...

“I just had this feeling Thierry would be back this weekend,” said Pearce.

“He is a player everyone outside of Arsenal looks at and wishes they had.

“He has smashed Ian Wright’s goalscoring record, yet he is much more than an out-and-out scorer.

“Thierry is more of an all-round player, he creates a lot more for others and he is still only 28. You would think Arsenal would want to hold on to him for a long time to come.”

Too fuckin' right Stu...

Le Boss: Charity Game is 'Absolutely Scandalous'

Le Boss has labelled France's friendly against Costa Rica on November 9 in Martinique as "absolutely scandalous"....

The match has been organised by the French Football Federation and national coach Raymond Domenech to pay tribute to victims of a plane crash on August 16 which killed 152 Martinique born people, and to give the French national side an extra World Cup warm up match.

"From now until November 7, which is when the players will travel to Martinique, Arsenal will play eight matches in 24 days," AW told L'Equipe.

"I need somebody to explain what the real meaning of that match is, apart from the media or political side of it.

"Are the internationals truly lacking competition? Ideally this match should not take place at all. It's harmful for the clubs and for the players. It does not make sense.

"We are making the same mistakes as during the preparation for the 2002 World Cup when matches in Australia and Chile were organised. We saw what happened in South Korea.

"They (the FFF and the national coach) do what they want, as ever. This is absolutely scandalous and inexplicable but I was not expecting better from them.

"All the clubs must be gutted. People don't realise, they should see in what state the players are after playing with the national team.

"At some point it is necessary to respect those who pay you."

TH14: "...I Think I Can Score Goals"

Thierry has spoken about his recent record-breaking acievement - something that wasn't on anybody's mind when he joined us from Juve back in '99...

“The boss knew me as a centre forward [at Monaco], But I went on to play on the wing and obviously I was not scoring as much there."

"It's funny, when I arrived here and for two, three or four years, people were saying that I wasn't a natural-born killer. I'm still not but I think I can score goals."

After Titi came off the bench to replace the injured JAR in Prague on Tuesday he already had a game plan...

“When I was on the bench I saw that they were playing really high, I said to myself if I come on then I will try to make runs behind their defence. When I came on that is what I tried to do from the start to put pressure on their defence. I tried it once, twice, three times then I said to Kolo play me behind their defence. That is what he did. The ball was a bit short so I had to control it and turn. I wanted to play in Robin but they followed him so I decided to have a go.”

I'm sure we're all glad he did!

Congratualtions again Thierry, you are a true legend!

TH14: "....I Was Determined to Help the Team"

After Tuesday night's game against Sparta Prague Titi revealed that he has been desperate to help pull the team out of our early season rut.

"I had so much anger that I needed to help the team," said TH14.

"That's what I'm there for and I think I answered people who questioned whether I had the desire to play for Arsenal.

"Every time I wear the shirt I play with my heart and total commitment.

"I watched the team and I was biting my nails.

"It's hard when you see an opportunity when you think you can hit the back of the net and you're not there - it's very frustrating.

"I love to play football and all of the time I was just biting my nails.

"It was painful because I just want to be out there, helping the team."

"I wasn't even meant to travel and I didn't feel ready," Thierry continued.

"But it's strange because sometimes you feel ready and you're not.

"Football is a strange sport, that's why we love it so much, but as soon as I stepped on to the pitch I was determined to give my best.

"I thought about pacing myself but I sprinted straight away, which was a bit crazy because I hadn't warmed up properly.

"The boss just told me to keep on running when I was on the pitch and that's what I did.

"Fortunately I didn't injure myself, I was determined to help the team."

Other reports coming out this morning say that we have been linked to Fernando 'El Nino' Torres....he would be a fantastic acquisition in my opinion.

One Legend Hails Another

Wrighty has hailed Thierry after he broke his all time goal scoring record last night in Prague...the former Gunners legend had this to say;

"It could not happen to a nicer fella. He is for me a footballing person, it is all about the football and the fans." said Wright

"It would be different if it was someone you didn't like and was a horrible person, giving it all the time, but he is not like that.

"He deserves it, he is a fantastic player. He has won everything, apart from the Champions League, which I am praying he can do.

"It is no mean feat to come second to a player like that. It is not easy for me to say something like that, but when you are talking about someone like that coming along and beating you, it is an easier pill to swallow."

Wrighty admits he has one regret, having never got the chance to partner Titi in attack for The Gunners.

"I am a predatory striker," added Wright. "That is why people say they would have liked to see us playing together.

"He does what he does outside the box and I would be inside waiting to get bits and that would be good to see."

He's Back!

I must be honest, I was very dubious about Le Boss including Titi in the squad for last nights game. Just shows what I know!!!

After 15 minutes we accumulated yet another injury - JAR had a broken rib and so stepped up Thierry.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? He was OUTSTANDING!

I thought I would watch him and his body language last night to try and gauge where his heart was, and to be honest he looked as committed as ever. Another positive was his celebration after the first goal - the way he patted the crest on his chest.

I've gotta say that I am more hopeful about him remaining at Arsenal this morning than I was this time yesterday.

Three wins out of three so far in the Champions League!

COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!!!

AW Slams Stack's Comments

The Gaffer has dismissed recent comments made by former 'keeper Graham Stack.

Speaking earlier Le Boss said...

"I think it's a very unfair and unjustified comment by someone who hasn't been part of the first team squad at Arsenal for 24 months,

"He's not one of my players, he's left the club. I don't give any credit to these comments.

"I don't know what people understand by cliques, but if cliques are people who sit together at the same table then we have had cliques at Arsenal for nine years."

So there!

Le Boss Admits Cock Up (ish)!

Le Boss had admitted that selling Patrick Vieira to Juve in the summer may have been a mistake after all...just a small one though!

The Gaffer had this to say...

"I still feel Cesc Fabregas and Mathieu Flamini are doing extremely well.

"But as long as you don't win games, people say that you make mistakes and you have to accept it.

"I don't feel it was a big mistake. But we started the season without Sol Campbell and Thierry Henry, as well as some others, so we've had it a bit hard.

"But it's a good test, a good challenge for us to show we can respond to that."

He added: "We missed Patrick in the first seven games of last season and now he's injured for Juventus. We lost Edu as well, but he's done his cruciate ligament with Valencia and that could have happened with us as well."

Wenger was also asked whether or not he had any plans to sign anyone in January. He replied;

"It depends what is on the market. We don't need to buy for numbers in our squad.

"But if a player of super quality comes up, then yes. If not, then no."

Le Boss Rushes Titi Back

So, after another poor result on Saturday and another injury added to our already lengthy list, Le Boss has included TH14 in the squad for tonight's CL game in Prague.

It is highly unlikely that Thierry will start. However, the Gaffer had this to say...

"He is physically fit and he's worked hard but he would maybe be a bit rusty in decision-making in the game,"

"Ideally, I would play him for half an hour and then start him against Manchester City. If I'm in a position where I can afford to give him a run, then I will do it."

Playing Titi tonight is one hell of a gamble. If he aggravates his injury further - we may not see him play again this year. BUT....beggars can't be choosers.

The loss of Thierry so far has had a huge impact on us...

"I always thought we would miss him. He's been out for 37 or 38 days and he's still our top scorer," said Le Boss.

"Has it been costly to us in the Premiership? It has. You miss someone who scores 25 goals a season. Against West Brom, we had 17 shots on goal and they had four, but we still lost the game."

Fingers crossed tonight, eh?

Hleb Added to Injury List

Hi people, sorry I've been away for a while - but I've had a promotion at work and haven't had a chance to post.

The latest addition to our injury list is Hleb who picked up a knee injury playing for Belarus last week. He now apparently needs surgery to sort him out.

Le Boss said:

"Hleb will be out for six to eight weeks and he is due to have surgery on his knee,"

"I really can't remember having as many injuries as this but it is not a crisis," he added.

"We have lost many players over the break when we should have come back refreshed.

"For some it is a question of days, and others - like Ashley Cole and Hleb - it is a matter of six to eight weeks."

Who will start tomorrow?
