Le Boss: Chel$ki Have a Long Way to Go...

Le Boss has taken a swipe at Chel$ki by insisting they have a long way to go before they become the dominant force in English football.

"The two games that Chelsea have played do not suggest to me they are the dominant force in English football," AW said.

"It's all Chelsea right now but it shows you how funny it is because they could have had no points and now they have six.

"Yes, Chelsea are a good side, the greatest team in the world who try to hit you on the break home and away.

"It is up to opposing teams to find answers to the way Chelsea play and it is up to me to find the right balance and get my players to express the potential they have.

"But what I feel makes sport beautiful is the teams who stay in your heart. The teams who make your child go to a game to see something special, teams who make sport become an art.

"I remember Real Madrid with Di Stefano and Puskas, the great Ajax team and the great Brazil team.

"Why do you love football? Because of that. That's why I feel we, as a club, have to take the initiative to play the game and to play it better."

Wenger is adamant he is not panicking having succumbed to Chelsea last weekend, and believes his charges will come good.

"You get quickly buried in football," he continued.

"There is a lot of earth covering our heads but that's part of the hype nowadays.

"There are always quick conclusions on one side or the other and that does not worry me - we have to live with that."

AW has really lost the plot this time.
Selling Viera without another player lined up, giving in to the mercenary Cole, unable to sign a quality player this summer, and now this.

Panic bells are ringing.

I agree with Wenger. Lets play the football for this club to be remembered for years to come. So what if we don't win trophies, it is how people think of us that is important.

The spuds have a reputation for playing the beautiful game and they don't win trophies. They only want to win things in style and if they cannot do that they would rather be mid-table. We should ollow their example.

anon @ 10.06 you are wrong, it is titles that matter. I would rather us grind out 1-0 wins every week and win the title and Champions League, rather than win the odd game 5/6/7-0 and win nothing. Get a grip. Its not about what people think of us, its about titles.

arsene knows, don't lose the faith now. as far as i'm concerned 11 trophies in 9 years on a very resticted net spend (we've nearly been outspent by every other premiership club)is an unparalleled record. I think he is relishing a new challenge, and in my mind if that keeps him motivated and in the job for another 5 years, fantastic. Sure he has the odd weakness tactically. Do I think we would do better with anyone else at the moment. Never!

Gelbs : Isn't just about being only two games in. It is the case Arsenal can't win Europe and back to back titles. Look at last season? Couldn't beat Man U and Chelsea. Nor beat Man U in the league for ages. A team like Arsenal shouldn't have to rely on a 36 year old Bergkamp (no offense to him) and amazing youngsters with potential. Should be more proven players than youngsters. Why you think me and other complain? Because we are proper Arsenal fans and give a shit. All hypocritical fucktards as well. Like you have never slagged off Wenger. Face facts. Arsenal will not win the title unless Wenger like you twats pull their head out his arse and realise the problems.
And please stop with this fucking shit about how "Arsene knows." He doesn't know jackshit. He is a great manager but shit tactician. If he is so great, why have Arsenal struggled to beat Chelsea and the shit Man U?! Arsenal are predictable. Just as I predicted they'd lose or fail to beat Man U last year including the unbeaten record going. I went mad even though it was a forgone conclusion. Lost the plot when it comes to United. And all the players he has turned into world class statue? True. But what about all the shit he has bought? It works both ways. Bought more shit then great! Stepanovs, Grimandi, Malz, Shaaban, Warmuz, Cygan, Luzhny, Van Bronkhorst, Jeffers. Kaba Diawara, Remi Garde, Inamoto, Almunia. The list is endless. There comes a time when a manager takes his team as far as he can. And Wenger is at the end almost. I would not be surprised if he steps down after the first season in the new stadium. And by then, the team will be no better than Liverpool. Hell, even Newcastle and 'Pool have a stronger midfield than us!!

Whilst on the subject of sarcasm - the first anon post - "unable to sign a quality player this summer"

Yeah I know what you mean did you see that geezer Hleb play on Sunday ? Wasn't he just fucking awful !! Mug.

Anon at 2.45pm - please name me a manager who has got a perfect transfer record ? Only Jeffers and Gio in that list actually cost anything approaching a large fee. I espoecially enjoyed your inclusion of Warmuz - a keeper signed on a very short term contract to provide cover for injuries. He cost nothing and never needed to play and you have him down as a shite signing - quality.

While you're there maybe you could name me a manager who you would replace Wenger with to do a better job, seeing has how you clearly think he has lost the plot.

Finally, you make the point about not being able to win the European Cup - maybe you can tell me when in our entire history we ever did ? Or why that despite the presence of massive clubs like Real, Barca, Inter, Milan, Juve, Bayern and even the Mancs you are still of the arrogance that not winning it is a failure ?? The reason you have this belief is because of the quality that Wenger has produced for you in recent years. But don't let that blind your judgement. Just berate the guy before you have anything tangible to do so with, while the season is in its infancy and before the CL has even started in ernest.

Final point Anon at 3.02pm - clearly not an Arsenal fan but very clearly a sick and sad individual.

* Arsenal have been demoted to London's second club by an accident of history: the post-Soviet splurge of an oligarch, who yesterday scooped up a player Wenger had identified long ago as a potential Islington aristocrat, Michael Essien.
*Arsenal are an institution built from the bottom up. Chelsea are constructed from the top down.
*Man United make Arsenal seem like jumble sale bargain hunters.
*Really the people's gladiators are Arsenal. The whole bar has shifted up.
*To his credit, Wenger has not called himself a "special manager", not started unwinnable battles with governing bodies, not allowed any insights into his family life, not shifted off the moral high ground over the Ashley Cole tapping-up affair, not told any of his players they need an IQ test and not appeared in adverts for American Express.
*Could it be that Wenger thinks the Chelsea empire will eventually crumble of its own accord - like its ideological opposite, communism - if Arsenal just hold their nerve and build, coach, invest in youth and stay true to the old ethos of their club?

You think Liverpool fans give a shit they won the Champions League playing non-attractive football at times? I don't think so. I would rather Arsenal won it winning 1-0 every game. As long as they win it. And I bet half of these faggots who put posts on here aren't even true Gunners. Retards who supported 3 different clubs when they were younger and now all of a sudden "true Wenger and Arsenal lovers." Arsenal's best chance of winning Europe was from 2002 - 2004. They will never win it. Not with the small squad WHICH IS WEAKER than last year. And no I don't think I would be a better manager than Wenger. But I know one thing. I wouldn't of sold Cygan in favour of Upson. I wouldn't of sold Taylor and now be looking for a GK. And I sure as shit would never of sold Vieira the captain who was an influence on Arsenal without replacing him. Look around the dressing room? Who is gonna inspire you. Fabregas? Reyes? Maybe Van Persie? Or 21 year old Senderos? Hardly fucking surprising the team is low in morale and less believing in winning things. And I would rather have a half the player Vieira he was than no Vieira at all without replacing him. Funny how Ferguson never sold Roy Keane when he was 29 and still has him. Selling Scholes and Keane is kinda the same as losing Edu and Pat. And twats saying Vieira is old etc. 29?! He is only a year older than Henry! So let's sell Henry next year? Well I reckon he will break Wright's record and fuck off next summer. Why be at a mediocre club? And all these great youngsters will leave the club when they have reached there full potential as well. Anyway. I rest my case. You cockends will be thinking the same as I do come May. Wenger knows he made a mistake selling Vieira and not getting in a replacement first. Oh well. Always the amazingly young Flamini........

Excellent comments Austin!

As for Mr Miscellaneous (5.39)! Oh dear! What's that I hear? Somebody couldn't beat 10 man Blackburn! I wonder who that might be?

Put your rolleskates on(you're obviously too young for a drivers licence) and skate down to our new stadium. It is there that you'll find out that your tedious efforts of trying to wind up the Gooners will come to a sorry conclusion.

Your team couldn't and can't compete with us now, and in a year or so we'll have a huge arena, and a much greater revenue than you. Where can Tottenham go from there?

I think that we should have called the new stadium Tottenhams End, because that is exactly what it's gonna mean for Tottenham, their team and even funnier for their damn right abusive fans like you!

I know that some people will be against having Tottenham in the title, but hey, Guy Fawkes was a failure too but he's got a night named after him!
