Are We Gonna Bayer Keeper?
Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed that we are looking to make a move for their talented 20-year-old goalkeeper Rene Adler.
Leverusen's MD, Michael Reschke said: "We know about the interest from Arsenal. Rene is a strong, young goalkeeper whose contract is running out in 2006 and it's obvious that clubs are interested in him."
Chel$ki (surprise surprise!) and Feyenoord are also interested in the youngster.

Don't think he's even playing first team football with Leverusen. He's hardly going to be competition for jens!
Agree with jobby - sick of all the transfer spec, especially when there is no end result.

this guy is rated immensely highly so he would be good cover for Jens, but no more at the moment. I and many other gunners would have liked to see us bring in a keeper who could take over from Jens this season. Adler wont do that, but im sure hes better than Almoronia.
Middlesborough are gonna win the treble this year....FACT
i've seen adler a few times, and he was quite impressive. In particular, he was very very agile and aggressive (brave). could be a big keeper in the near future.
i ain't sure if its wise of wenger to go after a 20 year old untested guy when he just bought 17 yer old vito manone...i dismiss it as pure speculation...dunno how others think tho! btw some newspaper said that we were after stephan klos ( or watever!)whus the second choice at rangers...dunno how true it is tho!
What happened to the reports that we were signing Dudek?
I think we should have signed Roy Carroll when we had he chance.
Sign whoever you want, but you will still not beat Chelsea.
Sign Chris Kirkland he is the best goalkeeper in England now he is fit again and Liverpool would let him go he is behind Reina, Dudek and Carson. He is massive and was ahead of Robinson before injury.
How difficult can it be?
Buy Issksson from Renne! After The World cup he will be a maine target of many clubs. Get him now for gods sake!
I always have high regard to Isaksson, but after seeing couple of Rennes game and Swede vs Czech game the other night, personally i felt he was lacking in multiple department, ball catching is a suspect, on one-on-one situation, he seems to get panicked rather easily, and although he has quite a fair height advantage, clearly he doesn't use that very effectively especially in aerial challenge.
Rene Adler on the other hand, watching him captained the Germany in the recent World Youth Cup convinced me to acknowledged his huge potential. He was absolutely amazing, making countless of superb saves, highly specialize in one-on-one situation. His reflexes is second to none. At 6'3", he really use his height very effectively with his calm and compose catching.
If AW really chasing this guy, all i have to say: GET HIM ASAP.
" after seeing couple of Rennes game and Swede vs Czech game the other night"
Isaksson is class and a big talent. I have seen him since he was 17 and he is getting stronger every year. Don't assume anything about a player just by watching a couple of games. Remember a friendlygame France - sweden last year when Isakssonstood firm even against our own TH14.
OK then, since my last post, i watched almost half of his performance last season with Rennes, and his current form after Rennes 4 games, and surprise, surprise, he's even worst than i thought. He goes down wayyy to fast, and I rarely see him stood his ground as most other world class keeper do, he seems rather encumbered causing him to react rather slow, much reminded me of Lens keeper, Charles Itandje. And Rennes has concedes 10 goals in spaces of 4 games, the worst in French Ligue currently and 5 of the them were saveable, and Isaksson was a suspect again due to his problem standing his ground. The guy is 6'6" for goodness sake, and by using his physique, he can easily cover most of the shot by making the open space smaller. This thing won't happen to Cech, Buffon or Dida.
I still voting for Adler.
