Absolutely. Sol must stay. Phil and Kolo is a promising partnership but Sol is the main man as far as I am concerned. Imagine having Christanval and Cygan as back-up centre halves. One injury prone and the other shite. Get rid of Cygan (though who would want him?) and get Kompany. Another young player I know but as it is the current transfer policy to sign the best young players Kompany fits the bill.
On another note what do you reckon the starting line-up against Chel$ki will be? I hope Glen Johnston is playing!!
damn these pricks ! 2 dumb overtalking wankers by the name of cygan and christanvaal...wy cant they follow the example of other frenchmen and think before speakin....else just shut up if they cannot think!!
hows about this then - sol and phil in the middle of defence, and toure in partnering gilberto in midfield. anyone else notice how keen kolo has been looking to get forward since paddy left? f*** essien, we already have our own powerhouse midfielder in waiting
... oh yeah, and if we wanna show a bit of ambition - we should get kompany in as sol's long term successor - solves the central midfield and defence problem with one signing. what u reckon arsene?
Like the rest of you guys, I've been reading what the press have to say for years and for the last 4-5 years I've learned to take it as a real shite attempt at humour. They are definately for the most part Man Utd fans. The Sun and the Mirror are especially guilty of anti Arsenal press. A great example in Monday's goals pullout in the Sun read something like this in the opening paragraph:-
Lucky Arsenal used up a whole seasons worth of good fortune after struggling to a 2-0 win against Newcastle. The stats on the same page read:-
Arsenal:- 12 shots on taget Newcastle:- 0 shots on target
Arsenal :- 70% possession Newacstle :- 30% possession
Oh yeah, we were really bloody lucky that day!
They moan because we never score scrappy goals, we never win ugly! Remember every time you watch Chelsea play this season, that when they win in anything like the same manner that we did against Newcastle the press will read something like:-
The opposition battled and battled but in the end the sheer class and never say die spirit of the Chelsea squad came shining through!
Ring any bells anybody?
What it all boils down to is the fact that Arsenal have embarrassed Utd for years. How could anybody possibly beat a team which has so many English players and more to the point, has spent so much money on signings. Everybody's attention has spilled over to Chelsea at the moment but look at it this way.
Chelsea and Utd are 2 of a kind. The only reason that the Utd press doesn't slam down Chelsea is:-
A)They've got main frame English players (they don't want to be seen as hypocrites in the long standing English players for English teams argument).
B)Chelsea have spent more money than Utd have so it's no embarrassment to lose to a richer team.
They enjoyed Chelsea's title triumph, they enjoyed PV4 finally leaving, they might have danced in the streets when Baptista went to Madrid and now they are trying to inflict morale destruction in our camp with tales of Sol's request to leave(another pile of bullshit if you ask me).
Well let them do what they are good at which is selling themselves and very poor humour, whilst us Gooners get right behind our team, which includes Cole and Cygan.
Campbell is past his sell by date and we should cash in. He is one of the most overated centre acks there has been. Nothing more than a money grabbing queen. Phil should play.
Cheers for that one anon 8.35 and thanks for explaining exactly what the truth is! That's cleared that one up then. Go and talk to Uncle Roman! Maybe he'll buy you a nice brain!

Victory through togetherness!!!!
It's all that counts!
i thought mine (previous 2 points) were pretty good....

What a long winded biased moaning point anon.
Typical arsescum self pitying bullshit.
You just cannot accept the truth, you are like a spoilt child.
