Le Boss: We Must Entertain
Speaking after our 2-0 win over Evert*n last night, Le Boss has stated that Premiership teams have an obligation to entertain their fans;"When somebody buys a ticket and spends £50, £60 or £70, it is not because he wants to be bored," he said.
"It is because he wants to enjoy a football game. I feel we all have a responsibility to keep that going."
As you're all aware last night's victory came courtesy of two goals from big Sol - I for one was delighted to see him return to the team in such a fashion.

thank god you're back!! was starting to get a bit worried!! excellent result last night and a great performance. thank god we didn't let go of reyes in the summer. he's a great talent thats just gonna get better and better. he's definately got that fighting attitude which we need as well.

Good performance, routine win and nice to see us nearly back to our solid best at the back with Sol back.
Before the season i ranted that its all about winning trophies, but now having watched Chelsea stroll to 6 wins out of 6, im just going to enjoy watching the Gunners this year as we provide some very rare entertainment in the Premiership.
Last season if Chelsea took a lead in a match, as they did against Charlton at the weekend i would have been annoyed and pissed off, this year i just dont care about them. It may well be they win the League at a canter, but i do not really give one flying fuck about them.
To me, Chelsea are in a League of their own. They, almost singlehandedly have turned almost every premiership club into a defensive minded, boring side. Take Everton last night, no fucking ambition, happy to settle for a 2-0 loss. What the fuck is going on?
Why are no teams trying to win games? United and Liverpool just cancelled each other out. Do United not know that if they have any realistic hopes of winning the league they need to do their very utmost to win EVERY game!?
The Premier League just is not inspiring me this year. Normally i would sit down and watch any old match, because i love the game, but this year im just not interested by anyone but Arsenal. I will watch Champions League matches, but only because of the european teams, and i will watch La Liga.
Where have all the 5-4, 4-3, 3-2, even 2-2 thrillers gone? Not only is Chelsea's money and arrogance ruining our game, now it is their tactics, as other less talented, less wealthy sides seek to copy them. 0-0 and 1-0 are scorelines that will be seen many a time this season. The premiership, the best league in the world last year, is now worse entertainment than serie A. Says it all...
i agree nil, hleb looks quality but a few shots on goal would be good. however, pires was just the same when he came. he had all the skill but itm took him time to build up the confidence to just have a go. hopefully, one will go in for hleb and they'll keep coming. gilio, couldn't agree more mate. i sat through the drivel that was bolton V blackburn last sunday and it was quite possibly the worst match i've ever seen. this sunday i watched derby V sunderland and it was quality. its a sorry state when championship football has become more exciting than the premiership. my girlfriend supports watford and i decided to go to the watford V sheff utd game on sat and it was so enjoyable
Talkin off boredom in the EPL and low turn ups,I think Arsenal still stands up there with yesterday a region of 35000+ i suppose,This shows we still gonna have good revenue at the end of the season.what worries me more is how we are going to combine both,winning and playin the beautiful game,As Gilio said, i really also dont care this season,as long as the game is interesting am in for it,not playin 10-0-0 formation

i think its a shame that some of the competitive edge has gone out of the League. I wonder if Man Utd fans feel the same way as we do towards Chelsea, and just dont care what they do.
In a couple years i think we will be back up there competing for the title, but right now its a one horse race and its appauling. This is not happening in any other League in the world. Chelsea ARE ruining english football. There is no doubt.

welcome back nyssie i agree totally with gilio chelsea have fucked the league i have seen more boring matches this season on tv than i had all of last season,blackburns game last week was awful with bolton, man u vs liverpool is one of the highlights of the footie callender both being arch rivals etc, but i turned it off at half time as i knew it would be nil-nil, every team in the premiership with the exception of arsenal,charlton,west ham and spurs seem to favour a 5-4-1 formation and its strangling our game,its like watching serie A one exciting moment decides the match bullshit, i dont want that attendances have dropped and will keep on doing so if this carries on,i cant beleive benitez said he had to play defensively against big clubs, liverpool are a big club you clown thanks abrahmovic,mourinho and benitez you have fucked up our game well done!

Mr Serge, I think you will find that Charlton play the same formation as Chelsea.

Well Mr Serge, your Charlton mate is wrong. They started the season with Bent playing the Drogba role, with Thomas and Rommadahl (however you spell it) playing the Robben and Duff roles. Murphey just behind the way Lampard plays.
It was bound to happen, a team wins the title playing a certain way and other clubs copy.
Plus, the formaton is 4-5-1 and NOT 5-4-1.

I guess a lot of you saw the Arseblog article on the demise of the Premiership. One thing Chelsea cannot be blamed for is 451 - this started creeping onto the scene a couple of seasons ago - before the Roman empire. Just thinking out of the box, what about giving an extra point for a certain number of goals scored? Or maybe not.
