Hi guys and gals - sorry for my no show the last few days! Firstly I have been MASSIVELY busy at work, and secondly there has been nothing worth posting about really...However, Keith Edelman has claimed that we have potloads of cash, should Le boss decide to spend some...

"He is not a frivolous manager, who if he has got £10 million or £15 million will just say 'I have got to buy a player'.
"Just because he has got a budget does not mean he will spend it if he does not believe it will strengthen the squad.
"Arsene always buys the right type of player at the right time, and we leave those judgements to him, because he is very good at it."
I have heard that Maniche is unhappy at his new club in Russia. Is it me or could he fit the bill for us...?

Nyssie wel be back!!.Jobby Maniche would be a good buy but he will be something like 30 next summer or less by one.so cant realy see us buying him.I do also hear he has a massive wage bracket that might scare AW if he doesnt allow to lower it down
everyone knew we had money to spend this summer, but we elected not to. Whether we will be punished for that remains to be seen. If we are, expet a signing or two in january.
As for Maniche. He would be a good addition. He is no Vieira replacement, but to have an extra experienced number in midfield can only be a good thing. Plus hes got a terrific shot on him, something we lack from midfield.
I dont see him comin either because Cesc by then will be a massive asset to us.Talking of International duties,i did watch the Ivory game,Toure was a big joke in that game didnt do it big, TH didnt impress me in their first match against Faore islands,didnt watch sweden,can some one who watched give an assesment of Ljumberg,is he back on it and free from injury fully?

Isn´t Maniche one of those players who gets tagged a superstar after 2 good months in an international tournament?
I for one haven´t seen enough of him to be able to tell. He looked good in Portugal in front of the home fans, will he look good against Portsmouth?

Anyway back to the point, I agree with anon. about Maniche having a few good international games and getting too big for his boots. I dont see that much of him, but I dont think he is any better than we have already.
thank god you're back nyssie, don't know how much more i could have taken of that shorty prick (Westside, you know who i'm chatting about). as for maniche, haven't seen too much of him but he did look good in portugal. could be a one off though.
I wouldn't go for Maniche. He's a very good player with a good shot on him, but he's not going to make Arsenal better. There's no reason to pay loads of money for a player at his age to fight for a place in the squad.
Btw, Arsenal doesn't shoot from outside the area not because of a lack in good shooters. Pires and Cesc have good shots on them, as do all of our forwards (including Reyes who sometimes figures in midfield). Most of the players we just can't tell if they can shoot - it's just not Wenger's way. Mostly, we try to pass the ball into the net.

Why does everyone keep going on about getting a vieira replacement?? wenger is trying to get away from this whole defensive central midfield system!! The reason he is doing this is because everyone now plays 4-5-1 apart from man utd who play that system but have the quality players to turn it to 4-3-3. He realises that with a playmaker like cesc & a runner from midfield that can score goals (baptista) then teams will struggle against us!! If he wanted to continue the way we played with vieira then flamini would be in the team each week as he is much more defensive than cesc!! Whether us fans rate flamini or not wenger thinks he is fantastic & has said so many times, so would have no problem playing him!! I gurantee that by next summer wenger will have the player he wants (baptista is obviously gone) but he will have another by then & this time with the amount of available cash they will get him!! Believe me on this I know someone very close to wenger & he states that he will not even tell his best friends his intended targets, infact the only person that knows who he is after is DD, the board are only advised of the cost involved!! He already has a target but he is unlikely to come before the summer......do I know who?? certainly not but as I said I gurantee his choice will be here next summer!!
