Ready, Cesc, GO!!!

Young Cesc is up for the higher level of expectation that will be on him when the forthcoming season kicks off.

"I just always try to do my best," he told Arsenal.com

"I have all the confidence of my manager and team-mates, I'm happy and I just have to keep going.

"Of course there will be more expectation this season.

In my first season I played a lot of games so the fans are talking about you and what they expect from you.

I will keep trying, keep learning and we will see what happens."

GOOD FUCKIN' BOY!!!

A real talent, I can see him being the captain of arsenal in 8 years time.

I agree. He came from Spain and seems to love Arsenal alot. What do you guys think?

He is a wonderful player and looks like he has bulked up a bit over the summer. Only exciting things to come from him I hope.

I very much doubt he'll ever be captain. As soon as he's got all the gloss and veneer of the best midfielder in the world, Barca or Madrid will "poach" him (I doubt Cesc will put up a fight though) and he fuck off. maybe 3 or 4 years.

To think otherwise is niave, i reckon.

Haven't you noticed how footballers worship those clubs?

Only chance is we Anglo-size him immediately. Get him a nice English wife and kids I reckon. It's our only chance.

I think that depends MoW on whether we manage to win the Champs League. If Liverpool can do it so can we.

The club´s wage budget might increase if we win the champs league and as soon as we move stadiums...

however I think him leaving for Spain is a fair chance some time in the future.

Wow, the negativity is unbelievable. We might not be in quite the top echelons yet, but we are floating just outside it. There is an element of the lottery about the champs league. Seldom do the best team win it. When we were beaten by Chelsea we probably were one of the best teams, however last season that team went off the boil. So you need to change it.

Players like Cesc will be central to that change and development. If he leaves in five years, ten years or never so be it. We will be in a great new stadium watching great players wearing our shirts. Why are we already talking about Cesc leaving?

The club is always bigger than individual players and that includes PV.

this kid is outstanding he will be one of the best in the world in a very short while,i don't want to talk about him leaving either thats just negative he was at barcelona (so i don't think it will be easy for madrid to take his loyalty) and is from just outside there and came to us he has also settled here and i think he will be here for many years,i think cesc was instrumental in AW letting vieira go as the 2 did not play together that well but both played exceptionally whenever silva or flamini partnered them, and as he signed a long extension just before vieiras departure wenger decided to cash in on an ageing asset, well done arsene

He´s the biggest talent ... ever to emerge from this club I think. To do what he did last year at his age was phenomenal.. that being said, Arsenal has had difficulties with other clubs unsettling it´s players. Anelka, Vieira and lately Cole.

I hope he stays forever but in all fairness he is Spanish and staying at the same club for 15 years is getting very rare in todays world of football.

Well, he will defently have the Real Madrid every summer on him now soon. Just a matter of time, but I guess he will have the captain taste before he's 22 or 23. If makes any good plays then, then Henry might get offloded so he can consentrate on making goals again and just play he's own game. I'm gonna by one shirtm and it's gonns stay Fabregas on it, or Cesc. andI'm gonna worthship the player, if he stays in arsenal for the rest of he's career, he will become one legend in the club, like Wright, Bergkamp and Henry is already. Viera can be, but it must be luck, he deserves allot credit but not the legend status in Arsenal.
