Titi On His Way?
According to the Daily Mirror, Catalan giants Barcelona are convinced they are going to sign Thierry at the end of the season.
A Barcelona source is reported as saying: "Laporta has never hidden his desire to land Henry. He knew it was impossible this summer as Arsenal refused to sell. But that will change if Henry does not sign a new contract. He is the one they want."
I have heard a LOT of rumours surrounding this of late. All being fueled by the fact that Titi won't sit down and sign a new deal. What is going on there? He could end all of this bullshit by putting his signature on the dotted line, so why doesn't he?
Hopefully this is just the usual wild speculation that comes from our wonderful tabloids!
UP THE GUNNERS!

i have been worrying about this for months, after we sold vieira in fact, i hope he does stay or we really will be struggling, this could be bad news for us, and i am one of the positive gooners
I think he'll use the opportunity to get some assurances from the board that we will be signing some new players and move the club forward. If he gets the answers he requires I think he will stay. We must not forget that his lovely wife has recently had a baby and he says that he loves London and the Arsenal so hopefully he will take that into the equation too.
Wouldn't worry too much, this bitch Joan has been saying for the last 2 years that he'd love Henry to play for his team, and let's be honest who wouldn't ? Just the press hacks trying to find a story without having to do any work.Ignore !!
This is just rubbish, he wont go, hes settled here.
Barca just live in hope, they are a strange organisation, run by strange outspoken idividuals. they basically think they run world football
I've been a gooner for years and years, but the fact of the matter is this. The team wants the Champions League, the Fans want the CL and the club want the CL! However, the players we have lost to the players we have gained does not show the clubs burning desire to win it. We are led to beleive that we now have some money to spend, and now more than ever it needs to be spent. Not on just anyone obviously, but, we need to add depth to the squard with some established quality. This will show the fans and Henry(!) that the board still want the CL and can hopefully be the sign Titi needs from them to stay on to lead us into the new stadium and CL finals!!!
'Big' Mick
'he says that he loves London'- Ever been to Barcelona?
'Barca just live in hope, they are a strange organisation, run by strange outspoken idividuals. they basically think they run world football'- Did anyone see the program about how Barca is actually run a few months ago?
I saw it, very odd. Laprta seems to spend most of his time fighting off the backstabbing of the rest of the board who in turn seem to be forever justifying their existence to the supporters club and the hierachy. The tail appears to be wagging the dog in most quarters.
It may also be woth mentioning that whenever there is an election due soon the president always announces a big signing to be made.
if i was thierry i would seek assurances as well he is 28 now and this will be his last big contract if he does not look into it with his eyes wide open he would be a fool, i think he will stay but there is always the worry until he does
I'm not just saying this because he is a Spud but I wouldn't have wanted Davids. He isn't a bad player still but we are a business as well as a football club and his demands (considering he is often injured) were astranomical. As for Guti, why would we want a player that has been happy to sit in Madrid reserves for most of his career?
I agree. I said we should go for Diop the day after PV4 left.
we will get diop in january, as for wengers contract he always waits until 12-18 months to go before he signs a new contract so i do not have a problem there, he has always been a man of his word and has never broken a contract in his life
Henry wants to win the CL and we don't look like we have a chance of that. At 28, he has to make a decision that will affect the rest of his career. Living in Barcelona has got to be better than London.
On the Sky programme about Wenger last year, he said that he does not see a long term furure in football management. He wants to give something back to football at the grass roots level in non footballing countries.
anon 11.12 how many times have barcelona won the champs league then, i can understand going to juve as they have more chance of winning it, but they have won 1 of the last4 finals they have been in there is no garauntee,
also henry is married to an english girl has just had a child it would be tough to unsettle all of them
Serge...Barca have more of a chance then us. Can you imagine Henry with Eto, Ronaldinho, Deco. They would have a great chance. Plus, Barcelona is a better city than London. Henry was really upset when Viera went and at 28 he cannot afford a couple of transitional seasons.
Plus, Wenger stated in the sky programme that he sees his future away from management. Don't want him to go, but am not as convinced he will stay as the rest of you.
For the record Juve's european cup/champs lge record is f**k all better than ours. Wenger will go in 2007 cos at that stage he will have overseen our 1st season in the grove. Much of our probs at the mo are down to wengers refusal to strengthen the squad and his refusal to buy players over 28 is stupid cos the young players need more hardened pro's around them right now. Wengers policy of late mirrors that of george graham in his latter days by stating that the right players to buy are not available and building a team around 1 individual (th instead of ian wright). Those decisions cost us dear back then and that will be the case again. People thought we would miss wright when he left but the team got stronger and the same can happen of henry goes as long as we spend the money received

Shorty
Fuck off back to your cab, you fat Spurs cunt.
For somebody that is obviously jealous of Arsenal you spend a lot of time posting worthless comments on our site. As you can see, this is a football site so go and talk about fish and lager with your other personality defficient morons.
I don't blame TH for not sitting down and signing immediately - the club isn't showing much ambition, even though we went for some players in the transfer window, and he's entitled to look at other options if he feels we're not going to compete at the highest level. He's at his peak now and within a few years he'll be on the slide.
I want him to stay and lead us out at the Emirates and win us the CL, but he's given us fantastic service forthe last 4-5 years and you have to respect his decision and wish him the best, if he decides that his future lays elsewhere.
But he ain't gonna do that cos Arsenal are gonna go from strength to strength this season as the young lads get more exprience and go on a fantastic run.
A good place to start? - a win at West Ham this weekend without Titi.
Up the gunners.
nice post anon 12:04. thats what we need, more optimism. come you redcurrants
Nice anon(12:04).
actually all the regulars on this site are quite positive before the season started we had weeks and weeks of doom and gloom.
I'm always positive. Football is a temporary game. You love and you lose. That goes for every team in every league. We have lost players in the past I thought were irreplacable i.e Brady, Stapleton, Rocastle, Nicholas, Adams, Dixon and Nutty, Petit, Overmars, Wrighty and before my time the likes of Charlie George and Frank Mclintock. There are countless players and I'm sure you all have a few more in mind. My point is that football is a turnover business and we are still a great club moving into a fantastic new stadium.
I look upon this as the start of a new era for the club and we have money in the bank to rebuild when the players Wenger wants are available. I dont htink TH14 will leave as he has stated this on many occassions, but if he does decide to we will rebuild again and still be a great side.
Fact is that we were being sussed out and we have needed to change our play a little. That may take time but remember when these people talk of our demise that we have heard it all before. 99, 2000, 2001.....stupid is as stupid does.
If you insist on being so repetitive Shorty, the abbreviation for 'you are' is you're. Fat cabbie cunt.
You still being roasted by Jack on you bollock talking site????
Good man WSG - these pricks can't even spell and they STILL try and give it the big'un!!!!
That fat prick thinks that grammar is your mother's mother.
I cant seem to access your latest post about Bentley Nyssie. Keeps saying contact blog aministrator, what's that about??
i've finally done it! i got a scum fan to admit that he enjoys watching arsenal's attractive football.
guys remember at the beggining of the season when some gooners were jealous that spurs had spent so much money? do you still feel that way or have you realised that as i have they have now caught up with fulham!
Anyone else wonder what Thierry's ass would look like without the shorts? mmmmm
I've never felt any jealousy for those mugs. Apart from when the signed Christian Gross. HAHAHAHAHA fucking brilliant that bloke. Anyone remember the first press conference...
"I haf my er ticket for de tooobe from Eeethrow to Tottering and I liking it very much in ere"
Fucking superb appointment. Even on the rare occassions they won he still looked like he was going to cry. No wonder they are so happy now to have a load of second rate England reserves, a couple of fat Irishman and an Egyptian all in wrestler. Oh, and a blind geriatric raspberry.
It was an old one I published by mistake WSG. About him having the arsehole with the Arsenal!
HAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAAAA!!!!
FUCKING BRILLIANT WSG!!!!!
;o)
Westside that post about bentley is the one from a couple of weeks ago, it seems to keep being released every time arsenal are due to play!! Its all bentley complaining about arsenal ruining his career blah blah blah!!
As for henry I dont care if he stays or goes!! I support arsenal the club not the players. Players come & go sometimes its their choice & sometimes its the clubs but at the end of the day arsenal will still be around!! Dont get me wrong henry has been a fantastic player for us, but a player like quincy for example is more than capable in the long term of filling henry's boots!! What if he does leave & arsenal insist on a deal whereby we get Eto I could go for that. Eto is a different striker from henry but has similar pace. Its true you need to change players to keep the element of surprise & introduce new ideas. Arsenal since henry has been out are finding goals from defenders that would not have happened if he had been playing!! Just look at the match monday night if henry had played both those free kicks would have been taken by him & both would have been pointless shots which martyn would have got & the game could have ended 0-0. Moyes even admitted they done no work on set pieces because arsenal dont score them, & thats exactly what I am talking about the element of surprise!!
i see shorty is keeping it short and sweet probably best to keep it to 1 syllable last time he tried 2 it was grimsby, and we all know what happened then
Like your thinking anon 2.24 but we'd have probably had another 20 shots on goal had Henry played. I think we'd have been 2 up at 'Boro before they realised the game had kicked off too. I'm with you on the support of the club and not individuals though. Players will come and go, but there will always be my Arsenal.Lets hope the whole conversation is irrelevent and Henry is here for years but we will be come what may.
Westside, I thought we played pretty well at boro for 30 mins & that was without henry, I just feel a bit like wenger in that certain players (reyes for one) play better when henry is out the team, I think reyes among others loses confidence when he throws his arms about & sulks when he is not given the ball!! Whether we would have beaten Boro & Everton had henry played is something we will never know, but as you say the club will go on regardless. I just hope wenger does not sign a striker until he has given quincy, lupoli & bendtner a real chance. In the case of lupoli & bendtner I really have not seen two more natural finishers & that says something!! I know people will say its only reserve team football, but lupoli has done it in the carling cup & amsterdam tournament, a natural finisher will always score!
whats the deal with this bendtner? every time i look he seems to have scored another two goals for the reserves. he seems quality and the big striker we need
I dont watch the reserves but I hear a lot about Bendtner so hopefully we'll see a bit of him in the Carling Cup this season.
I just think that with Henry we are always likely to score even if we aren't playing that well.
I'm going for a beer now so laters guys.
henry is leaving in january
END OF!
