The Reason We Sold Patrick

I have heard from a very reliable source that one of the main reasons we sold Patrick Vieira to Juventus is as follows...

This may sound stupid.....but, apparently he has one leg which is slightly shorter than the other. Le Boss was advised by the physios at Arsenal that because of this before too long he will be VERY susceptible to hip and knee injuries.

We have already seen some evidence of this over the last 18 months or so.

So when Juventus came knocking we decided to cash in before he goes lame and his value drops dramatically!

This could be complete bollocks, but this guy has told me weird things in the past that have been true....

What do you reckon?

Heard that from Linda Adams who in turn got it from GL, who also thought there was a chance that he'd fail the medical at both Real (at the time) and Juve

I think Jenas has the same condition. It would explain why the useless prick spend most of his time running round in circles.

that was good westside there have been a few footballers that have had this problem, kevin gallen was at QPR in the early 90's as a youngster and he kept getting injured the doctors could not diagnose it for ages and when they did they fixed the problem with an insole in his right foot,

12:20 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Jenas plays with a caliper on his right foot. I see I missed quite a bit of banter yesterday serge, to be fair you'd be a little bitter if we had just been beaten by Grimsby. Fucking hilarious.

At least it saved them the embarrassment of being humbled by our reserve and youth players.

westside i got a lot of haters against me i love windind them dickheads up, they even pretend to be arsenal fans just to have a pop lol
the funny thing is the kids would have beaten the spuds as well grimsby stopped our bragging rights,

funny thing is westside, i was on their blog yesterday and was saying how our youths would have no problem disposing of the mighty grimsby and they were adamant that they's beat us!! fucking mugs

Dont even attempt to have a logical football discussion with them because they get hot and sweaty and fly back with mum fucking comments and childish jealousy jibes at Sol Campbell's sexuality. Fact is that they have spent a lot of money on average players and are now starting to realise that they are the same shit dressed in different paper.

I said at the start of the season that they have 3 players of quality and the rest are water carriers and back up players at best. I think if you hear propaganda often enough even the most sceptical will believe it in the end and this is why people were starting to think that Spurs were going to be anything other than mid table.

I heard that as soon as he was sold. I thought it was just a rumour put around to try and appease supporters.

Tottenham only had the chance of two trophies and fucked one of these up.
Arsenal only have a chance to win two trophies, the EPL and the FA Cup. Don't take the Carling Cup serious enough to win it, and are shit in Europe.
Arsenal have fucked up winning the EPL. So like Spurs, they have only one trophy to win!

Serge you were well and truly caned yesterday, and Jack interupting a football chat on the Spurs blog to say 'i have a nine inch cock and am good looking' took everyone back. Very weird. Check the blog if you don't believe me.
Plus, he was not very loyal to the gooners, even admitting that serge can be childish.

This coming from a bloke that says the same thing every day and is obsessed with Serge. The only alarming thing on here is the fact that you feel the need to keep diverting the conversation back to Jack's cock. Fucking oddball.

WSG...Out of all the gooner on here you post good FOOTBALL comments and can be funny.
I wish O could say the same thing about some of your fellow gooners who come across as not well adjusted people. Jack on the Spurs blog was very weird, Serge constantly making things up.

The post at 1:13 was not to take the piss. An observation.

Yeah, we do need a bit more football talk on here. All this mum slating is getting boring.

Back to why we're here. Song? Whats the deal with him - I only saw him against Everton briefly the other day. How was he last night? Anon 1:24 wan't impressed...anyone else have any comments...?

1:34 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

I have no doubts that Chelsea will win the league this year and they were going to whoever we had bought. The fact is that this season is seen by many Gooners as transitional and a platform for the future, which is still looking very bright from my viewpoint. The alarming thing from your point a view should be that you have bought an awful lot of players recently and still look pretty average. Having 85 workmanlike midfielders may be successful in stifling good footballing teams but you wont score many goals and will struggle against route one sides. There are a lot more route one teams in the premiership (and league 2 apparantly) than footballing teams.

1:37 PM
Blogger NyssietheGooner said...

Too true WSG, there are 90 odd other teams in the coutry who would love to be in our position...I agree that this is DEFINITELY one of those transitional seasons...

Spurs put out a team that should have won, and looked strong. But, in fact Spurs have a number of injuries. That team did not consist of Dawson, Gardner, Davids, Mido, Routledge, Tanio..all injured.

1:48 PM
Blogger NyssietheGooner said...

I was surprised Tottenham lost aswell to be honest. I thought it would be a comfortable win for them.

1:53 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Even without the players you mention any team with the likes of Keane, Defoe, Robinson, King, Jenas should beat Grimsby.

1:58 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

I don't think that it is the quality of the players, but that they now seem to believe all the hype.
Spurs have no real chance of winning either cup, and must concentrate on a top 6 finish.

I think this season for Arsenal could go one of two ways, a transitional period which moves you forward, or if Henry does not sign the new contract panic to set in.
The question is, did AFC make the decision of the new stadium relying on success on the pitch and now Roman has turned up to fuck that up. I know the plans have been in place for a while, but the decision to go ahead occurred when thye footballing power shifted to yourselves.

Could be financial problems.

2:04 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

WSG..Totally agree and it was a real embarrassment. Particularly the way some Spurs supporters have been unrealistic, like some of the comments above,

But, I support Spurs no matter what happens. I'm sure your the same with the Arsenal.

2:06 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Indeed I am. I was at Wrexham when we went out of the F.A Cup and we were Champions then.

2:10 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

It was a long drive home on Tuesday night and the really disappointing thing is the players performed as though it was a testimonial match.

2:14 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

In answer to your question at 2.04 I dont believe that the board would have made the decision on the new stadium based on current, future or passed success. The businessmen at Arsenal are obviously very cautious people and would have worked any future earning on the basis of worse case senario first and then more realistic figures afterwards. I cant believe that anything would have been left to chance and the banks wouldn't have loaned the money on future success anyway.

Pires out and Ljungberg 'a big doubt' for West Ham trip

Arsenal are likely to be without both of their regular widemen for the trip to West Ham on Saturday.

Left midfielder Robert Pires is definitely out. He has failed to recover from the kick on his thigh that forced him off during Monday's victory over Everton. Right-sided Freddie Ljungberg (thigh) is described as a "big doubt". Dennis Bergkamp (back) is also a concern.

Thierry Henry (groin) has now returned to England but manager Arsène Wenger is working on the assumption his top scorer will be sidelined for another month.

"We will see him in four weeks at the earliest," he told Arsenal TV Online on Thursday afternoon.

"As for Saturday, we have a doubt about Dennis Bergkamp, who has a back problem. Robert Pires is certainly out because he has not recovered from a kick on Monday night.

“There is a big doubt over Freddie Ljungberg as well but Mathieu Flamini is available again after a knee problem."
