DD Pleased With CL Draw
DD has stated that the CL draw we have received will give us a chance to improve our so far poor European record."I know it's an unfulfilled ambition for Arsene and the boys to do well in the Champions League," he said.
"But all the teams here are here for a reason, and that's because they've done well in their domestic competitions."
Although the Swiss side are something of an unknown quantity, he joked it would be easy for us to do our homework.
"I think Philip Senderos can be our scout for the Thun game," he said.
"We've played Ajax in Europe before and played a pre-season game out there, and Sparta Prague will be interesting too.
"We played them before in 2000-2001 and beat them both times, so let's hope we can do it again."

not a bad draw - could have been worse.
but it's not that easy either. i reckon the quality has improved in europe recently, insofar as the "crap" teams have closed the gap on the big teams conmpared to about four/five years ago...
We have never really had a bad draw. It's all about which team turns up on the night. Our 'superstars' are well overdue a decent run of performances on CL nights.
I know what you mean about the CL music.....does the same to me!!
