Gerrard: "Walcott Could Be The Ace..."
Stevie Gerrard has insisted that Sven is not mad by picking Theo for England...Gerrard said: "I don't think the gaffer is crazy, Walcott could be the ace in the pack. Nobody knows anything about him, but we all know he is a fantastic player with tremendous speed.
"If he gets thrown in at the deep end during the World Cup he may just surprise a few people and come up with a couple of winning goals, you never know."
But Gerrard added: "I am not going to say I was not surprised at some of the names in the squad, because we have not seen much of them.
"But they are very exciting players, and if we can get Wayne (Rooney) fit and Michael (Owen) fit it is a very exciting squad.
"But if you look at the squad as a whole then the 23 are really strong.
"Being England's manager you are paid to take risks and have a gamble now and again, he has accepted it is a gamble but hopefully it pays off."

just to get back to the TH will he or won't he debate...
he didn't announce anything on Sunday because he would have been hijacking an unrelated event: the closing of Highbury... and he certainly won't be signing a contract at DB10's testimonial - imagine how pissed off Dennis would be
the fact is no one knows except for him... he hasn't told any estate agents, any groundsmen or staff at Highbury or any reporters... we all have to sit tight
I think of all the people I have seen talking about henry, I honestly believe ronaldinho gave the clearest hint yet that henry is going to barcelona. In that interview last night he was saying how good friends they are & that maybe henry will be joining him at barca. He looked like he knew & he certainly wasnt talking the c**p that most of their players have been talking. The mere fact he has bought a house in spain & his current home is up for sale all leads to the conclusion that his mind is made up!! Lets just hope wenger can pull off an amazing coup which could lessen the blow. You cartainly cannot replace him but we can make the squad stronger.

You know I believe en le prof., you can doubt Theo if Le Prof trust him. Oh Henry, we all wish he could stay, but even if he cannot be replaced now, he would be replaced later. I don't believe it is Torres, but maybe the young Mexican who was sent to Sevilla to grow.
