AW "...Gallas Is The Only Other Option"
Le Boss has told new recruit Billy G that he's gonna have to play at left back for the time being...Le Boss said; "It would have been useful to have him at centre-half but at the moment I have no real choice. Clichy is still four to six weeks away and who knows what could happen to him after that.
"There’s always a chance he could suffer another setback to his recovery. It makes it very difficult for me to plan.
"Mathieu Flamini played there for a spell last season but he is not really a left-back and Gallas is the only other option.
"I have a strong team but we have not started well because of our disturbed preparations."
To be honest, Clichy does seem to be a little injury prone and I don't think Hoyte is up to the job - yet. Should we be looking at signing another left back or do you think AW would be right to keep the faith with Hoyte?

Traore looked pretty decent pre-season...but he's literally still a kid.
One to watch though, for sure!!
for me, i would say to Matiu, go to left back son, i know you dont like to play there, but give us a hand while our defenders are out,
then id put Gallas in the middle
but thats only if kolo is out of the man utd game

I went to primary school with Hoyte! And he is a fantastic ATHLETE...apparantly is one of the fastest at Arsenal, even competing with Henry...BUT ANYWAY...I think Hoyte has potential to be a good player but he need to get stronger and needs games, experience and needs to make mistakes to learn from them. He isnt IDEAL but for the moment Gallas at left back is ok...but now if Kolo Toure is injured too it might mean he will have to shift into CB...

How about this:
Recall Kerri Gilbert - a VERY promising right back and stick Eboue on the left. Hes comfortable on the ball and I would much prefer him to Hoyte - did anyone see hoytes clearance sliced accross the pitch giving away a throw-in lastnight? the geezer aint good enough.
