This Is Killing Me

I HATE this time of year! All that we get is bullshit rumours and Chel$ki spending yet more millions on yet more players!

THANK CHRIST THE WORLD CUP IS JUST ROUND THE CORNER!!!

The reason I haven't posted for the last couple of days is quite simply because, there's been nothing worth posting about!

I'm so BORED at work it's just not true - I'm actually considering doing some work to help the time pass...!

Anyone got anything interesting they wanna post? PLEASE?!?!

Anyone realised that Arsenal have provided both England's youngest and oldest debutantes. If anyone's in the slightest bit interested, I'll even find out the name of the old boy...

just want to say that Vieira would never come back to Arsenal and he most certainly won't go to Utd... Wenger is a great believer in stats - Pat's stats spoke for themselves... and I think Arsene wanted to get rid of him and did a shrewd bit of business with Juve... Vieira was a great player for us but you should never go back - my guess is he'll try & jump ship to Spain

that BBC report looks pretty mother clucking ominous!

We could be in trouble - . Why are there so many dodgy deals done in Football!!!! Surely we can get some honesty around here?

Obviously we want the best players and cannot compete with the Chavs' spending power (although over £30m for a player approaching 30 is a complete joke even if he is Shevchenko...)

Do u reckon Arsenal will be in trouble? They said the £200K paid to Beveren was as a loan so maybe like Blair and the cash for peerages we may get away on that Technicality!

Adios.

Looks like a load of crap to me.

Sure, Arsenal might, and probably are up to something dodgy, but from what I can make out, FIFA of UEFA of whoever would have to prove that the guy that Arsenal gave the loan to actually worked for Arsenal, or was acting strictly in their interests.

Which seems like a pretty difficult thing to do.

There are also many ways to disguise this payment, so if Arsenal has done something wrong and is caught, someone was very stupid.

Anyway, oldest England debutant is Leslie Compton. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leslie_Compton

There is the point that they off-loaded some of their Belgian players for West Africans, but that was because of Gulliou's involvement and his academy in the Ivory Coast. There was no doubt a close-ish (and public) relationship between the clubs, and that Beveren did act in Arsenal's interests (but perhaps only when they thought it was also in their interests, too). It may be over a technicality (like calling it a loan) that we are pardoned or hung out to dry. The down side is that this comes at a time when the atmosphere has been poisoned by the scandals in Italy. And Belgians are hardly new to corruption either. Were any of the academy boys used for sex by high level politicians with the knowledge of the police?
