Sp*rs Bid for Bap

Can you Adam & Eve it?!?! T*ttenham have put in a £13.8M bid to try and sign Baptista!

"The most important offer that we have received is that of T*ttenham, of more than 20million euros," said a statement on Sevilla's official website.

I'm sure, given the choice 'The Beast' would rather join us than go to Shite Hart Lane.

What do you reckon?

Why is he even leaving Sevilla if he's going to Spurs? wasn't the point of moving to improve his chances in the national team? Del Nido is taking the piss.

As it has been mentioned, arsenal had to up the offer to 15m anyway. If we want him, he will come.

It's not the first bid they've put in for him. As others have said, Baptista would never go to Sp*rs.

Would you leave the 5th best team in Spain to join the 9th best team in England? Hardly a step up, is it?

I agree sp*rs are just trying to show their fans that they can do what the Arsenal can (yeah right). They're letting Arsenal do the hunting for quality players then trying to hijack the deal cos they're too useless to find their own players. Also, have you noticed how sp*rs fans' only argument is 'you're all scum though'! Why not try and argue that you really are as good as the Arsenal! Ha Ha Ha

Just a few words!!! We won the leauge at shite hart lane, we won the league at shite hart lane, we won the league at the shithole we won the league at white hart lane!!!!!!!

For Gods Sake Arsenal, nip in and get this Baptista deal done ASAP. He will be a revelation and an inspiration. Not only could he replace Vieira, but in those games in europe he will give us the PLAN B we so dearly miss as a supportive frontman behind Henry. Wenger SIGN HIM UP NOW!

the only reason he wants to leave seville is because jose antonia reyes said to come to arsenal and he would just ditch him to go to some shit arse team like spurs that carn't even win the mickey mouse cup"Carling Cup". also if he rejected barcelona and real madrid do you even think he will think twice about spurs "not a chance"

4:55 PM

the only reason we do crap in the champions league is because of viera and his retarded self always gettin sent off hes only good in the premiership not champions league

I agree, Baptista would give us something we havent had since the curious days of John Hartson, some aerial prowess. With Baptista, there might be a chance of us scoring from one or two set pieces and give us another option. If he doesnt join I will be gutted, and for me, things will not look good for the season ahead. Especially if Chelsea add Essien to their SWP signing :(

to implie we have been outbid would mean that the deal is done!! these are just offers at the moment like any auction the last bid is the best, ie the bid that out bids the rest. Anyway notice how the poor neighbours have to resort to foul language coz they cant boost about anything like ...oh i dont knw!.... WINNING ANYTHING SINCE 1998!!

the only reason why spurs are putting in a bid is to get rivals may i state the best team in the world "arsenal" to pay more for a player they need

I am not worried about Spurs bidding for him, i really cant see him joining them. WHY THE HELL WOULD HE??? BUT, i am worried that we are not moving quickly enough to sign a player we really need. Look how quickly Chelsea pounced on SWP. I know Chelsea have an unlimited budget, but we have plnety of money and are just faffing around wasting time. Sevilla want £15-17.5 mill, just bloody give them their money, the players impact on this great club over the years he plays here would be MORE THAN WORTH IT. HURRY UP GUNNERS.

thats true buts its heard to be that arsenal have around 60 million to spend this summer and when it comes to signing players arsen wenger is the worst to make quik descisions

NOT AT ALL we are the only club in the premiership to not be in debt and thats a FACT

5:13 PM

The board have said £30 mill was available. 10 mill went on hleb, but we earnt back 4 mill on PV4. So we have £34 mill to spend. Spend half on Baptista and the rest, i reckon should be spent on a goalkeeper ( WE REALLY NEED ONE AND SOON ) and some youngsters, noteably Alexandre Song who is on trial. Come on Arsenal get it done, and we may have a realistic chance of winning the title, becos at the moment im not overly confident as Chelseas squad is ever growing and immense tbh.

dear dear stu82 thats a very large chip on yr shoulder m8 but not nearly as big as that empty space in the yids trophy(?) cupbrd. As for being on the up, not very hard from where u were b4 is it??? I MEAN ONLY A MERE 31PTS BEHIND US LAST YEAR!!! is that what u mean by being on the up??

5:26 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

also stu82 dont recall seeing defoe up on the stage at the worlds footballer of the year face facts m8 since the money landed at chelsea yr lot aint even londons 2nd team better watch out for the happy hammers nxt yr too !!! they will be after yr title as londons 3rd best team

5:36 PM

stu82, we still have your captain, son. And the blue scum have your TD. Have to at least thank that scum for that laugh. Anyways, le boss won't overpay, so if he doesn't get in a bidding war, I'm happy with that.

So Romans man Arneson is pushing the price up on Baptista , just another Chelski ploy, Dont believe everything Del Nido says and dont trust British papers to translate for you.

The fact is that it doesn't matter if Sp*rs bid 50 million, since the player will decide where he'll be going, not the club.
The ONLY reason anyone would choose you over us is if they want guaranteed first team football... to be a big fish in a very small, stagnant pond.

8:12 PM

We outbid Real for Robinho... so fucking what?

It doesn't mean shit.

Come back when you have something to say.

dear stu82, how many more times u aint outbid us coz u aint signed him yr latest bid is more but then we aint bid since lets see where given the choice the beast wants to go CL
or mid table and as for tying down yr top players not that hard when no one else wants them !! and u really think if someone offered manre £14million for keene they would turn it down??? and lampard is in early 20`s not nearly 30

I would be very suprised if he went to Spurs and frankly if he does it proves he is not a player who we would want at Highbury.

I doubt it though and would have thought he will end up an Arsenal player soon enough.

To all you Spurs doubters, just one question: How much would you have loved to have Arsene walk through your doors all those years ago?

Don't worry guys Arsenal under Arsene will be just fine. Personally I am excited by seeing Fabregas develop, anyone else?

How embarrassing if we're outbid by Spurs..I mean seriously! LOL. anyway, I'm willing to bet my right arm that he will NOT be a Spurs player next season. He may as well stay with Sevilla - at least he'll get European football next season! I do share some people's frustrations about Arsenal in the transfer market.. we do seem to take things VERRRRY slowly. I understand that we don't want to pay a cent more than we need to, but FFS - the Baptista saga has gone on for way too long. It'll be a shame if we don't get him after all this time. That said, I'm 90% sure we'll get him. Spurs? Don't make me laugh!

spurs outbid the mighty gooners...
the mighty gooners still get the player for less money than what shittingham offered.... what would be funny is if shittyham's offer was accepted and they werent able to pay it!

ITS ME AGAIN.... WE WONT THE LEAGUE ... WE WON THE LEAGUE... AT 6 POINT LANE!

Its simple. T*ttenham know they are poor, shit, and couldn't sign a good player even if they had 20 million Euros (which is unlikely). All they hope to acheive is some prestige amongst their fans (which they can't acheive through playing football), and to up the price for the Mighty Mighty Arse (god bless their souls). App. the Beast is on his way for 22 million euros just as soon as del cockface signs that shiteater Saviola as a replacement. By the Sp*rs fans, nice work on signing Postiga. Why don't you go out and bet all your dole on him getting the golden boot next season?

As every hour passes, my doubts over us signing Baptista increase and I will be gutted if the beast doesnt join us, and it will be no one but The Clubs fault for f*cking around wasting time. We have the money, over 30 million, just spend it. With Chelsea throwing huge sums of money about and landing huge players, it is time we started to compete. If wenger fails to replace PV4 with anyone, im sorry but we will struggle to get into the top 3 next yr. Thats why we must sign up the versatile beatst.

Yeah i agree too, it would be a cataclysmic error to not replace Vieira before the season starts. Wenger may be confident in Gilberto, Cesc and Flamini, but i am certainly not becuase not one of them has the physical edge Vieira had. Arsene says he's in no rush to replace PV4, but if i were manager I would be in a massive rush, becuase Arsenal have Chelsea 2nd game of the season, and at the moment we will lose that game with the squad as it is. Come on Gunners Bring in the Beast... TODAY IF YOU WOULD

Baptista is now definitely staying in Seville, so well done Arsenal, youve officially f*ucked this up a treat through acting so f*cking slowly. Its disastrous, it really is.

The Beast said, 'I have never said that I wanted to leave. There is interest from several clubs, but I am happy here so I have to take that into account. I have already adapted to the Primera Liga and to adapt to another league would be complicated.' Sounds like he will only go to a La Liga club now. Only weeks ago he said he wanted to go to England. If we had SIGNED HIM THEN, there would be no problems like we are now gonna face.

He also says that he spoke with Wenger, 'It was a fast conversation in order to get to know each other.'

We have BLOWN THIS BIG TIME, and im now very worried about the season ahead. :(
