Finnish Starlet Reveals Premiership Interest

Finnish star Alexei Eremenko Jnr has confirmed to skysports.com that English clubs are interested in signing him.

The talented Finn has impressed hugely in Serie A with Lecce, whom he joined only last summer.

Before his move to Helsinki he underwent trials at Birmingham and Leicester, but neither offered the 22-year-old a move to England.

However, since his move to Italy, Eremenko has caught the attention of a number of clubs.

Indeed Arsenal were known to be very keen in January and it would be no surprise if they had renewed their interest.

Eremenko confirmed that two Premiership clubs had made contact with Lecce, but he would not reveal their identities.

"Two English clubs have been in touch with Lecce," Eremenko told skysports.com.

"I can't reveal which two clubs but they both are Premiership clubs.

"However, Lecce are looking for €3 million for me and I think that's too much."

As a Finn i would like Eremenko to play for Arsenal(although he was born in Russia), but I don't believe he is good enough. I'd rather like us to go after his little brother, Roman, who is very talented.
