“Alex is not the player we bought,” said The Gaffer. “He is stronger and better.

“It was tough for him at the start. [But] I like to have a guy on the wing who can dribble. There are not many now.

"He gives us that creativity with the final ball and the unexpected pass. He can create a partnership with the full back, gain time and wait for one who comes from deep. It means there is the opportunity to play inside and also wide.”
